A service kit that can cut medical device testing times is now available from Rigel Medical. Service engineers can reduce the time it takes to test the electrical safety and operation of a wide range of medical devices and equipment. The comprehensive kit is suitable for engineers requiring flexible, easy-to-use and accurate testing of the electrical safety to IEC 62353 or other appropriate standards and guidelines including IEC/EN60601-1, VDE 075-1, AS/NZS 3551, AAMI, NFPA-99 and MDA DB 9801-2006. A Bluetooth-enabled barcode scanner allows devices and equipment to be quickly identified, while test results can be stored within a safety analyser and printed wirelessly to the rugged batters separated Elite Test n Tag printer. The compact, light-weight design and long life battery power of the Rigel 288 reduces downtime between tests, making the instrument practical and highly portable for multi-site use.
