Atlas Vac Offers Patented Force Sensing Option on Medical Tray Sealers
August 12, 2009 – 9:33 am
Atlas Vac Machine offers a patented Force Sensing option for its tray sealers so that users can know precisely what forces are exerted by the sealing platen during packaging of their medical and pharmaceutical products. Armed with the knowledge of sealing platen pressure output, packaging designers can reduce the validation time required and ensure that the packaging will perform as desired, with the proper aesthetics. The Atlas Vac Force Sensing option is suited for many medical device and pharmaceutical packaging applications where a knowledge base of packaging performance can be leveraged on subsequent packaging projects.
Unlike traditional methodologies which measure the air flow input to the pneumatic components, the unique Atlas Vac technology uses load cell technology firmly built into the sealer to measure the precise pressure being applied.
Achieving desired sealing platen pressure the first time reduces validation time, and can reduce the waste of making pressure changes during a packaging run, and also reduces overall costs.
PLC controls are available from Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley, with validation protocols, recipes, passwords, operator screens, alarms, data acquisition and other tools of the trade available in standard or custom configurations. CE certification is available for machines designated for EU markets.
